Today, I thought about the amazing creators we have that have emerged throughout last year. It's hard to think of 2020 as being "last year" already. But, these creators have paved the way for others to also venture into their own creative spaces too. These creators were also an inspiration for me as I picked back up on my blog and boutique venture. The year was definitely one to use for reflection and bettering ourselves. We didn't have much to do but be comfortable with being by ourselves. And being an introspective person, being by myself is the perfect opportunity to get all of my creative ideas flowing. But just like anyone, I need inspiration. And thanks to the lovely internet, I was able to glean from these beauties:
1. SaksFlipAvenue:
Olimpia has always had a creative and innovative mind. She began her IG account sharing her top recommended drink recipes when she decided to expand her wealth of knowledge. Like many, she enjoys finding unique pieces to wear and for a good deal! Her online boutique offers just that.. and the best part about it is the free shipping deal she has going on now. Her love for fashion and thrifting inspired this beautiful shop along with the catchy name.
2. Eclectic Home Decor:
Inspired by the YouTube videos she'd often watch and a need to revamp her apartment, Raissa is making her debut in the creator community. As the pandemic hit, surges of jobs layed-off their employees; She being one of those affected. Raissa used this opportunity to spring into something she had her mind set on for months.. sharing her home decor with the world. Whether it's painting her dressers, shelves or rearranging the furniture in her rental apartment, she is making a statement. What a great inspiration that you don't have to let your apartment be bland for fear of moving out in a few years!
3. Priscilla M Beauty:
This glam guru is all about making you look and feel beautiful! If you have a major event, she'll be there with your best interest at heart. Knowing her personally, makes me admire her drive and work hustle so much more. She's a wife, mother and business woman who also takes out time during her week to do volunteer service. If that doesn't define "boss lady", I don't know what does! I had the honor of having her do my makeup for my wedding. She not only did such a lovely job but went above and beyond to ensure my day was absolutely perfect.
4. EthioSpresso:
Her love for coffee inspired her to take it a step further a create coffee-inspired jewelry. Beginning with coffee bean bracelets, she has now branched out to coffee inspired earrings as well! This innovative rock star works hard to curate unique pieces that remind others of the cozy feeling often times related to drinking coffee. Plus, if there's anyone who loves their coffee, it's this girl. She dazzles us with brilliant new pieces regularly, so don't miss out!
5. Magnolia Dyes:
Oh my... I must say that she's absolutely amazing! Jasmine's shop sells hand crafted naturally died products. From handkerchiefs to wall hanging to earrings, she never ceases to amaze. I have gotten some trendy macrame earrings from her shop as well as a macrame plant hanger and coasters. She's constantly exploring new ways to expand her brand and we are so here for it!
All of these businesses are just a few of the many talented people I come across each day. The hustle is real out here, yet these ladies are still climbing. Go ahead and check them out... you won't regret it!
