A Virtual Style Secret

I assume you are reading this because you are interested in how you can switch up your style even during virtual encounters. The nice thing about that, is you really only have to worry about the top portion of your outfit. That means your shoes and pants are absolutely irrelevant. If you ask me, I say it's the best! Well, what should we focus on?

Truth be told, you could have a super basic top and still look stylish. The secret is to accessorize! Besides your makeup, you can switch things up by wearing statement jewelry. Fun colored earring or a glitzy necklace will do the trick! Some of my favorite style of earrings I've been into lately are clay earrings. They seem to be the trend. A friend of mine also made the cutest macrame earrings and I am obsessed! If you're interested in trying out a pair of clay earrings, feel free to check out my shop here. Some other amazing earring makers I know are: PaperPapayas and RennyMadeJewelry. They're amazing and hard working shop owners!

Another thing I've noticed I do more is switch up my lipstick. I'm not sure why but I personally feel like it can really switch up my look. I'm on a Zoom meeting of some sort every single day and on days where I'm not feeling the jewelry, I switch up my lipstick/lip gloss. One thing you want to avoid, though, is over accessorizing. Sometimes, we feel the need to overcompensate for not being able to show off our cute shoes or dress. Yet, simple can still look quite stylish. An example would be wearing both a statement necklace and a statement earring. What I mean by this is, perhaps you don't want a 2 inch earring with the brightest gems and then a necklace with beads of crystals paired together. The point of statement jewelry is to make statement. Meaning, that piece of jewelry is the highlight of all of your accessories. So, you choose. Would you want to highlight your earrings or your necklace?

This isn't to say that you can't wear two large pieces of jewelry together. You absolutely can. However, when in a virtual setting, it comes across a little too strong without the view of the entire outfit. I love wearing matching necklaces and earrings. It's my favorite thing to do... in person. But I'm learning that it doesn't translate well virtually. Everyone is different though. So, comment down below on your thought! Do you prefer the simple yet bold look or the bold BOLD look?
